Unfortunately, donations are not tax-deductible at this time. If the route gains enough traction, the long-term goal is to eventually establish a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Donations support the ongoing development of the Great Colorado Route. This includes maintaining the website, promoting the route, scouting sections to verify that proposed routes are accurate and suitable for hiking, and other expenses related to developing resources for hikers.
Until the project grows enough to formally incorporate, donations go directly to GCR creator Donovan “Iceman” Rice, who is currently self-funding the project.

No. The Great Colorado Route is currently a proposed long-distance hiking route and independent project. Much of the route follows existing trails and established routes, but it has not been formally designated or maintained as a single trail system.
